VPs’ Day – Saturday 19th September
Ventnor RFC are holding their first Vice President’s Day at Watcombe Bottom on Saturday 19th September when both Ventnor teams play the Isle of Wight in their respective leagues. All VPs and their guests are welcome. The bar opens at 1pm and John Newton will be laying on an excellent finger buffet. Jackets and ties please.
The theme for the day will be “Bollene Remembered”, so bring any photos, reports and memorabilia of those great tours.
Talking of which, Steve Camm was asked to write down his memories of that historic kick of his that won the match in Bollene in the mid-eighties. This he has graciously done (see Memories), but there is a feeling that he may have slightly exaggerated the moment. If anyone can put the record straight, send in their own version of events to James.
