So what has been going on at Ventnor RFC the last few weeks? Well as always quite a bit!
Pre-season is now in full swing with guys being worked hard by both Damo and Jim. With the first game only a month away the hard work really starts now. There have been some impressive displays at training and plenty of competition for places in the 1st XV
Fixtures have now been confirmed for both the 1st and 2nd XV.

We also have a number of “friendlies” with the other Island based clubs starting with Ryde on 5th September 2015.
The Club has also hosted both a Hampshire U15 training camp during August with the squad camping at the club over the weekend. The club also acted as the official Ventnor Fringe Festival Campsite.
And talking of camping don’t forget with have the BIG camping weekend coming up soon. Friday 28th-Monday 31st August. We have live music booked for the Saturday night when the Welsh singing sensation Daryle Saunders will grace us with his presence. This also a game of golf planned for the Saturday afternoon. And don’t forget the BBQ that NEVER goes out!
Wood! More wood than you could shake a big stick at! After the felling of the trees we now have a large stock of wood, in fact too much wood! We will be planning another weekend to remove the felled trees from the bank. We will need all the help we can and will pay in wood once the work has been finished. Watch this space for more details.
