Well it’s Tuesday after the Festival, & I am only able to write this because Billy Bob saved my life! (That’s what he is saying! That explanation will come later!)
Rugby news:
- Paul Rutledge has written to us all, I am sure he would welcome a note from all. (see elsewhere on the website).Rog Evans is sowing his seeds - that’s grass seeds for the pitch. Not sure how this is going, but thanks Rog. We have a committee meeting this week with our all new team
- Training is but a few weeks away!
The Festival:
Despite rumours on the festival website, the Niton flag & its owners had absolutely nothing to do with the beer throwing during the Kooks (we would not waste it!)The club were well represented (see pics) & a good time had by all. Nige lost his phone & Bob “saved the Chairman’s life” in the Pistols mosh pit (although I believe I dragged him to his feet on at least 2 occasions).County won the most horrendous shirt competition, Nolan the best suntan (red or what). Loz lost her wallet, Damo scrounged beers off everyone & Danny Newbs was Danny!
PB & Toddy popped along to see us too. Matt Taylor was on fine form and Warren appeared at random moments along with Dave Horricks.Former Chairman Mark Rogers kept the camp supplied with adequate beer carrying devises and Biz, our former president, even graced us with his presence.
I also believe I bumped into Goose, Leighton, Woz Riches, Marcus, Mike Flanagan, Tommy Wells, Tom Engelgardt and others I cannot remember!I am sure more stories & pics will emerge over the next few days and weeks.
