St Catherines School, Ventnor
St Catherines is a residential special school for children and young people suffering from primary speech and language disorders between the ages of 7 and 19. A number of Ventnor RFC vice presidents have close links with this establishment and it is a cause near to our hearts. Andy Gomarsall of the Wasps Legends is a patron of the school. The Richard Engelgardt Trust
Richard was severely paralysed in a pre-season training session in the summer of 2009. His brother Bob is a stalwart of Ventnor RFC. Richard played for Birstall in Leicestershire and Ventnor RFC have forged close links with Birstall RFC with tours and parties at both venues. In so doing the clubs have already raised considerable funds for Richard’s trust.
