It is with great sadness, but also great excitement, that VRFC would like to announce their new post-game awards.
As the winner of the Black Dog on many occasions (indeed I even won it twice as a spectator!!) it is with great sadness that I announce the Black Dog has been retired. The Black Dog was awarded to those that really showed the grit and determination to get it all wrong on the day. I clearly demonstrated that on many occasions, as did many of us. For that we thank you Black Dog.
With the withdraw of Wightlink as our travel and Man of the Match Sponsor (for which we thank you for the many years of support) it was time to make changes. As a result the post-game awards will now be:
The AJ Wells Man of the Match
The Ventnor Haven Fishery “Cod-Eye” of the day
These will be awarded for the first time today after our double header against Romsey. 1400 Kick offs at the club and Rew Valley Sports Centre. All welcome to come along and support the boys in opening games of the season.
