Rugby at Watcombe tomorrow with 1XV against Eastleigh RFC 2XV
Tomorrow (Saturday 17th Feb), Ventnor RFC 1sts take on Eastleigh RFC 2nds at Watcombe. Please note that the kick off is now at 14:00.
Ben Savill has been able to select a strong squad for this important match so let’s give him and the lads the support they deserve.
One great piece of news is that club-captain Jewy Jones is back from injury and will start on the bench.

This Saturday (17th February 2024) will see our penultimate Ventnor RFC Vice Presidents’ Lunch at Watcombe.
The Vice Presidents’ lunch will sit down promptly at 12:30. We are delighted to report that Adrian Besozzi from The Bonchurch Inn will be our guest speaker which is always something to look forward to. As I mentioned before, the lunch is fully subscribed.
Less good news is that Eastleigh RFC have not been able to assemble a 3rd XV so our Ventnor RFC 2nds will NOT be having their game.
Although we will get the full five points for a home walk-over, this is a considerable frustration since Ventnor RFC 2nds haven’t had a match since before Christmas due to sides not travelling across to the Island.
Zoe and Ventnor RFC 2Xv Captain Jack are working their socks off trying to find an alternative fixture so watch this space for any updates.
PARKING: Ventnor Football Club have an important 1st team match against Shanklin FC so please no parking in the football car park.
As ever, please NO parking on the Foxhills Estate as well.
