Ventnor RFC 1sts play the Isle of Wight RFC at Watcombe today, in the penultimate Counties 3 Hampshire league 2025-26 season, in a local derby.
Having lost to our Island rivals at Wootton just before Christmas, the lads are determined to redress the balance!
Although promotion is already secured for Ventnor’s 1st team, it was obvious from the intensity at training on Thursday evening, that the players are not resting on their laurels, but are dead set on winning the league and a victory tomorrow will put us securely on pole position to do just that. And we have the squad to do it with all but a couple of our regulars fit and available.
The Ventnor RFC 1XV squad is as follows:-
Lewy Morton (capt), Pat Banks, Ed Blake, Harry Bexon-Stone, Will Broomfield, Tom Branagh, Alec Bulpitt, Luke Butler, Joe Coghlan, Tom Crews, Josh Ford, Cody Hayman, Jewy Jones, Dan Lythgoe, Jack Rushton, Tom Scadden, Ben Souter, Harvey Wheeler and Max Wheeler.
The kick-off is at 15:00 (NOT 14:30 as previously stated).

For VPs and guests attending the VPs’ lunch, we still intend to sit down at 13:00. It’s the usual £15 which includes the forever eclectic raffle with prizes supplied by the irrepressible Rev Warren Riches.
