Two games at Watcombe Bottom for Ventnor Rugby Club Teams on Saturday 7 March 2026
Because the weather has at last relented (for now anyway!), James Blake has been able to get on top of preparing the Watcombe pitch which is now considered firm enough to take TWO games today.
Accordingly the Ventnor 2nds friendly against the Isle of Wight RFC will kick off at 12:30 and the Ventnor 1sts against Overton RFC will follow at 14:30 in their in Hampshire Counties Three 2025-26 game.
And – of course – the 6 Nations games will be on the clubhouse TV.
Ventnor Rugby Club 1XV v Overton Rugby Club Counties 3 Hampshire 2025-26
This is the rearranged fixture after the original fixture back in early December was postponed due to problem that Overton encountered.
The kick off is at 14:30.
Once again, Lewy is able to lead a strong squad, namely:- Jake Babington, Pat Banks*, Ed Blake, Will Broomfield, Tom Branagh, Joe Coghlan, Jason Coltham, Josh Ford, Jack Gilbey, Cody Hayman, Jewy Jones, Riley Lloyd, Dan Lythgoe, Archie Lucy, Jack Rushton, Harvey Wheeler and Max Wheeler.

Ventnor RFC 2XV v Isle of Wight XV Friendly Saturday 7 March 2026
Prior to the Ventnor 1st game against Overton RFC, the Ventnor 2nds also have a game – a friendly against the Isle of Wight RFC 2nds/vets.
Meanwhile Deano will hope to emulate the quality of the game we saw last Saturday which was so cruelly curtailed by the injury to the USP player.
