Match preview Ventnor RFC 1XV v Overton RFC this Saturday
There’s rugby at Watcombe on Saturday (9th Dec) when Ventnor 1sts play Overton RFC in the Counties 3 Hampshire League. The kick off is at 14:00. The bar will be open from 12:30.
After a heartening return to form last Saturday when the lads went toe-to-toe with Aldershot & Fleet RFC and were extremely unlucky to lose 31 – 26. A hat-trick of tries for Ed Blake and one try for Dan Lythgoe plus conversions from Ben Cooper.
Overton RFC are currently mid-table, 5th, in the Counties 3 Hampshire League 2023-24.

There’s a Vice Presidents’ Lunch on Saturday 16th Dec when both our 1sts and 2nds play the Isle of Wight at Watcombe.
kick-off 12 noon: Ventnor RFC 2XV v Isle of Wight RFC 2XV Counties Counties 5 Hampshire South West
kick-off 2pm: Ventnor RFC 1XV v Isle Of Wight RFC 1XV Counties 3 Hampshire 2023-24 fixture
Because of the early kick off, we will need to sit down at midday sharp! The price is the usual £12 which gets you your raffle ticket too.
Sally Cooper is promising some seasonally themed food. It’s going to be busy so it’ll be strictly first come, first served so let me know if you’re coming ASAP.
Don’t forget the Christmas Party which will take place after the games on 16th Dec.
Bob Parker and James Blake are organising something special. Hogroast, raffle, auction, DJ, stalls – there’s even talk of some burlesque dancers . . .
