Ventnor 1sts play their penultimate home game of the season when they take on Aldershot and Fleet in the Hampshire league on Saturday. Kick off at 2:30pm.
With a great performance away at Havant fresh in their minds, Jewy is expecting another strong showing. Despite the loss at Havant in a hastily rearranged fixture due to the waterlogged the previous Saturday, Ventnor scored more points against the league leaders than any other team this season with tries from Ben Savill, Grant Richardson, Charlie Magnurson, Callum Martin and two from Sam Lines. Ed Blake added the extras from the tee.

Also on Saturday, Jack Rushton leads his ebullient Ventnor RFC 2nd XV across the water to New Milton in a top-of-the-table clash.
After the recent disappointing cancellations by teams travelling from the mainland, this will be the Lions first game since Christmas but the work the lads have been putting in at training should stand them in good stead.

In other matters, our last home fixtures of the season take place on Saturday 6th April when we have a double header against Portsmouth. It will also be our last Vice Presidents’ Lunch with an early sit down of 12:30. Get your booking in early because places are going quickly!
