Rugby at Watcombe next Saturday for the start of Ventnor RFC’s 50th Anniversary celebrations
We start the celebrations for Ventnor RFC’s 50th Anniversary next Saturday (7th September) with a President’s XV v Chairman’s XV with a kick off at 3pm.
There’ll be a BBQ and Hogroast – courtesy of Kristie and Chris Skelley – and music from Gareth.
There will also be an excellent raffle.
For the kids (and adults!), there’s an appearance from Nick Ponting’s amazing home-built Chitty Chitty Bang Bang that will be on show from 2pm until kick-off.
We are hoping that we get as many of the VRFC ‘old boys’ up at the club for this occasion so that we can have the opportunity to thank them in person for their initiative in starting something from which we all take so much enjoyment.

You can of course chat with our caterers on the day of the fixture of event to discuss your allergy or intolerance.
This includes visiting players and supporters, along with anyone who may be visiting and eating food or drink served at the club.
