Ventnor RFC 1XV Hampshire Counties 3 for 2025-26 Season
It’s been announced that Ventnor Rugby Club 1XV are in the Counties 3 Hampshire league for the 2025-26 season.
1st XV 2025 / 2026 These are the teams in Hampshire Counties Three for the 2025 / 2026 season:
- Aldershot & Fleet RFC
- Alton RFC
- Eastleigh RFC 2nds
- Ellingham & Ringwood RFC
- Isle of Wight RFC
- Overton RFC
- Portsmouth RFC 2nds
- Tottonians RFC 2nds
- Ventnor RFC 1sts
- Winchester RFC 3rds
The Hampshire RFU are beginning the season with some Cup Games, the first of which is on 20th September. The league starts on 4th October.
The Ventnor Rugby Club 2XV games of the 2025-26 seaaon will coincide with those of our 1st XV for the first 14 match Saturdays of the structured season. The last four match Saturdays will be taken up with playoffs which will involve the top two teams from the three geographic areas – South West (us), South East and North.
There will also be games for teams not involved in these playoffs the structure of which will be announced in January.
This synchronisation of league match days should mean that our 2nd XV shouldn’t be playing teams full of 1st XV ringers but it also requires full commitment from our squad to ensure we fulfil all our fixtures.
Lewy and Jack are determined that, when both teams are travelling away together, the social side will be in full swing and budgets will be available to make this happen.
