The BIG ONE is on at Wootton tomorrow when Ventnor Rugby Club 1st XV take on Isle of Wight RFC in a local derby, with a kick off at 2pm, in the Counties 3 Hampshire league 2025-26 game.
The Isle of Wight RFC 1st XV are beginning to show some form after a slow start to the season and will be very much up for the match.
Meanwhile our 1sts haven’t played a game since the Winchester match on 22nd November but the lads have been making up for it with extra training sessions called by Lewy and the coaches.
Ventnor’s team tomorrow is as follows:
Jack Rushton, Jewy Jones (happy birthday today Jewy), Dan Lythgoe, Lewy Morton (capt), Jason Coltham, Cody Hayman, Joe Coghlan, Harvey Wheeler, Josh Ford, Luke Butler, Hayden Lythgoe, Max Wheeler, Tom Branagh, Ben Souter, Tom Scadden. Subs: George Collett, Jack Gilbey, Tom Crews.
That’s one helluva squad!
There’s no rugby at Watcombe tomorrow since the Ventnor Rugby Club RFC 2nds v Tottonians RFC 3XV game has been cancelled due to the HRFU’s decision to restructure the Premiership South league – starting in the new year. They’ll be more news to follow which will include a revised 2nd XV fixture list.
