Unbelievably – despite a home tie for a quarter final – Old Glynonians RFC have conceded the game due to a lack of players (or is it really because they were terrified of facing the Mighty V?!!).

So we’re through to the semi-final of the Community Plate 2025-26 which will be played at Watcombe on Saturday 9th May with a kick-off at 3pm.

It’ll be against the winners from Group 4 which will be either Bishopston RFC (from Bristol) or Effingham & Leatherhead RFC (from the middle of Surrey).

Meanwhile, it’s a real shame that we’re not on the road this Saturday since Babz had organised a ‘old boys’ to escort the players on their quest. It would have been good to have seen Mark Rogers as well who was going to join us there.
