This will be the biggest game of the season for the lads. Can they get through to the final of the Community Plate?
It’ll be a tough game against a powerful Bishopston side who are coming with a full squad of twenty-two and who are looking to upset our 1st XV’s record of no defeats at home this season. Don’t let ’em!! The kick off is at 3pm. There will be a barbecue and Bradders’ Chip Shop will be firing on all cylinders. Please come down and support the boys in the last home game of the season.
As previously reported, our opponents are Bishopston RFC from the Bristol area. They finished the season in eighth place (out of twelve) in the Gloucestershire South Counties Four league with a 50% winning record.

But don’t be fooled because – as you know – Gloucestershire is a hot-bed of rugby and the standard across the board will be far higher than that in Hampshire so we are in for a battle and the lads will need your support.
Members of the committee and volunteers are planning some food on the touchline so there’s even more incentive to get to Watcombe!
Damo and his coaching team have ALMOST a full group to pick from which is good news – especially as the RFU have declared that a twenty-two man squad can be named (rather than the usual eighteen).

We are getting near the last call for tickets to the Dinner Dance and Awards Night which takes place at The Ryde Castle on Saturday 13th June.
We’re also getting close to being fully subscribed so get your tickets today and get it done!
Deadline for purchase of tickets: Sunday 23rd May 2026
Tickets are on sale until 23:59 on Sunday 23rd May 2026 inclusive or until sold out (whichever is sooner)
