Ventnor Rugby Club 1XV 32-0 Waterlooville Rugby Club 1XV match report Saturday 10 April 1993
Ventnor continued their impressive run of form with an emphatic victory over league strugglers Waterlooville.
The Island side had taken an early lead when textbook handling in the hacks found Simon GEE on the wing to score in the corner.
Ventnor increased their lead shortly afterwards when paceman, Matt IRVING, went over following good work in the loose.
Despite having a distinct weight advantage in the scrum, Ventnor continued to pressurise the visitors defence.

A third score soon followed when a penalty try was awarded for a trip on Warren FRESLE when he was clean through. MARTIN converted.
Mark ROGERS scored Ventnor’s fourth try on the hour with a typically robust run.
FRESLE made it five when he was first to the loose ball from a lineout on the Warterlooville line.
ROGERS completed the visitor’s misery just before the final whistle with a quickly taken penalty which caught the Waterlooville defence unaware.
