VRFC supports the Sophie Rolf Fund

By GH

Following two thumping Ventnor RFC home wins on Saturday Club President John Adams was pleased to accept a cheque for £100 from the C.P.R.E. in return for a club litter pick that took place earlier in the year.

This money, along with £126 raised by the match-day raffle, was in-turn donated to the Sophie Rolf Fund, a fund set up with the help of registered charity brainstrust, who have been raising money to support local girl Sophie Rolf, who is bravely battling with an aggressive brain tumour.

Money donated to the Fund will be used to support Sophie’s journey through this. It may be used to fund travelling to and from appointments on the mainland, any equipment needed, it may be used for treatment not funded through the NHS or just to ‘Keep Sophie Happy’ by paying for things she likes to do to ensure Sophie and her family get as many magical experiences as possible.

John Adams was delighted to be able to offer Ventnor RFC’s support in such a good cause, and urged anyone who would also like to help to visit http://kissypuppy.co.uk// to read more about the Sophie Rolf Fund.
