Ventnor 2nds fared less well when they travelled to play Tottonians RFC 3XV. Led by Jack Gilbey (because Jack Rushton was called into the 1sts team at the last moment) we were able to field a full squad of 18 but met a Tottonianss 3rd XV crammed with 1st XV players.
Despite the mismatch, the lads never gave up and scored a couple of excellent tries through Ed Blake in a 64 – 10 defeat. Ed and debutant Ben Mumford shared the A J Wells Man of the Match award while Jack Gilbey produced the Red Funnel Moment of the Match.
