Match report Bognor RFC 1st XV v Ventnor RFC 1st XV 17/03/2018

Bognor RFC 1st XV 76-0 Ventnor RFC 1st XV

An intrepid band of merry men made the snowy and treacherous journey to Bognor RFC on Saturday. 18 of the finest Ventnor lads, hungry for the first win of the season after a number of losses too great to count.

An impressive Bognor side made this another defeat, not through lack of trying on Ventnor’s part. With Roberts making some sneaky kicks through Bognor’s defensive line it seemed as though the underdogs were in with a chance. Every man putting in 100% with Edwards and Lines playing well, along with Pratt and Green making big yards forward.

However, several missed tackles and breakaway try’s later and Ventnor was defeated once again.

Their pack just not strong enough to overcome the mighty force of Bognor RFC. Babington’s 15 giving it their all in less than ideal conditions, Bognor commented on the strength of Ventnor’s resolve and good humour despite the score line.
