Ventnor Rugby Club player Joey Valvona has sadly passed away
It’s my painful duty to have to report the passing of Joey Valvona on Thursday.
Joey was in everyway a larger than life character who played for Ventnor RFC from the very early days and who was notable for his immense power, his sense of fun and his booming laugh!
He had been hoping to attend the 50th Anniversary match on 14th September but his advancing ill-health prevented this.
He will be sadly missed and the club sends its most heart-felt commiserations to his family.
