Ventnor RFC Lions Breakfast Saturday 2nd August 2025
This Saturday (2nd August) sees the third and final Lions Breakfast courtesy of Howden Insurance.
As ever the doors open at 10:00 with kick off at 11:00.
Chef Dan will be in command in the kitchen while Bradders and Molly will be looking after the bar. Let me know if you fancy it.
Ventnor RFC at Ventnor Carnival 2025
Wednesday 13th August see Ventnor Rugby Club take part in Ventnor Carnival 2025.
It’s always a great event so please come down and join in the fun. As ever VRFC will be represented!
Ventnor Carnival, on Wednesday 13th August 2025 with the evening procession is expected to start approximately 7pm, with the carnival route working through the town.
Bob Parker has once more volunteered to head up this year’s campaign

Howden Insurance of Newport Wing Walk August 2025
Richard Johnson and three colleagues from Howden Insurance of Newport are daring a wing walk on 11th August to raise money for Ventnor’s St Catherine’s School. Howden Insurance are the sponsors of the Ventnor RFC Lions Breakfasts.
Team Howden in Newport on the Isle of Wight are raising money in aid of St Catherine’s – Speech and Language by doing a Wingwalk on 11th August, and every donation will help. Richard Johnson (Branch Manager) Olly West, Caleb Neale and Lucas Egerton are looking forward to taking on this challange and raising money for such a great cause.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
Many of you will have met Richard at the Lions Breakfasts 2025 and it would be great if we could reciprocate our appreciation by supporting the team, if you can spare it!
With over 40 years of experience, St Catherine’s is the only day and residential education and therapy provider in the UK specialising in working with children, young people and young adults ages 9 to 25 who have speech, language and communication needs. All St Catherine’s supports students via their School 9 age 9-16, college age 16-19 and Post 19 ages 19-25.
Every pound will be matched by Howden Insurance so it would be great to help raise some money to support them and our own community in Ventnor!

The Ventnor Rugby Club Vice Presidents Lunches 2025-26 season were recently announced.
With their pre-season training underway and the Ventnor RFC 1XV’s fixtures for the 2025-26 season announced for the Counties 3 Hampshire League the dates of the Vice Presidents’ Lunches have been announced (time to make a note in your diaries).
