In conditions where the pitch resembled Sandown canoe lake, Ventnor seconds put on a strong and dogged performance to notch up another win.
Skipper Warren Riches saw three new players come back to the club and were thrown straight in to the action. The first try came from good forward work seeing Dean Magnison crashing over – Riches converted. Then, after good movement from the backs, Alan Bridges jinked in – Riches converted.
The home team then started coming back but Fradgley, upon his return, was rewarded with a late first half try, Riches converted.
The second half saw ventnor dig in and hold on to a deserved victory.
Wightlink man of match was Ed Clarke and the AJ Wells Black Dog award went to Tobias Penner.
