Ventnor’s 1st XV home game against Eastleigh 2nds tomorrow at Watcombe has been called off by Eastleigh. And not because of the imminent dodgy weather but because they can’t raise a team.
This means that we get the five points and they get a five point deduction.
Unfortunately Portsmouth RFC 3rds aren’t coming across (for the second time) so our 2nds don’t have a game. Very frustrating: Ventnor RFC 2XV v Portsmouth RFC 3XV Fixture Hampshire Premiership South 2024-25
As you can imagine, the lads are well hacked off about it, having lost both games scheduled for tomorrow.
After two good performances last Saturday both which resulted in narrow losses, the club is demonstrably on the rise with good numbers at training and two strong squads available.
The 2nds can look forward to a rearranged game away to Tottonians RFC next Saturday 30th November 2024.
