There’s rugby today at Watcombe when Ventnor Rugby Club 1st XV take on Lymington Mariners RFC in Round 3 of the Hampshire Counties 3 and Below Plate 2025-26.
If we win this round, we’ll be in the quarter finals with the possibility of a long distance match somewhere. The kick off is at 2pm.
This is a big one. A win sends Ventnor into the quarter-finals, keeping our cup run alive and opening the door to a potential long-distance away tie later in the competition.
The lads have been training hard, momentum is building, and they’ll be looking to put in a strong performance on home turf with everything on the line. Expect physical rugby, big carries, strong defence, and plenty of passion in blue and white.

Meanwhile Ventnor Rugby Club 2nd XV travel to Fareham Heathens RFC 2XV under the captaincy of Jack Gilbey, as the Islanders head to the mainland looking to put in a strong, physical performance and continue building momentum as the season progresses.
With a solid mix of experience and depth across the squad, the 2nd XV will be aiming to front up from the first whistle, take control in the tight exchanges, and make their mark away from home. These fixtures are vital for squad development, consistency, and pushing standards across the club.
